About Michael

Michael Sazhin is the owner and trainer of the world famous trained parrot duo: Kili and Truman. Kili, a female Senegal Parrot, is known around the world for performing twenty tricks in just two minutes. Truman, a male Cape Parrot, has been sharing his life with parrot owners from the very beginning. With the aid of his two parrots, he has been educating parrot owners about the application of training to live with parrots as pets. Not only that, but Michael is a strong proponent of keeping parrots flighted and has offered countless demonstrations of how he manages to keep his parrots flighted yet tame.

With a background in psychology, self educated in ornithology, and extensively researched in parrot training, Michael is able to provide audiences both with an entertaining and educational presentation of psittacines. He is knowledgeable in areas including keeping parrots as pets, taming, training, food management, harnessing, indoor freeflight, and travel with parrots. Yet he is not disjoined from other parrot owners because he knows first hand about keeping parrots as household companion pets.

Kili & Truman are versatile performers. From entertaining onlookers at the local park to performing live in front of thousands of people, they are adaptable for whatever style of performance is desired. They have accompanied Michael for presenting University lectures, they have been features on many TV shows, they are accustomed to travel and being handled by different people. Their performance repertoires are very extensive and can be used for different kinds of presentations. On one hand they are tame and can be handled for ornithological demonstrations, on the other hand they love to perform and can demonstrate flight and tricks. They are harness trained and can perform outdoors.

Michael is the founder of an entire online community of parrot owners. He is well known around the world for his kiliparrot YouTube channel with more than 6 million views. He also has an extensive following on parrot training on ParrotWizard.com, the TrainedParrot.com parrot training blog, and TheParrotForum.com which is one of the internet's most popular parrot discussion boards. He is the innovator of the Parrot Training Perch and sells products for parrot training on ParrotWizard.com.

Now, Michael is opening up to on demand live presentations. The trained parrot duo is now offering performances throughout New York City and the United States.
